Our tour is designed so you get to see Northern Vietnam and still have time to relax and enjoy your time away from the hectic pace of life at home. This tour is ideal for those who wish to experience the wonders of Northern Vietnam.

You will be staying in 3 Star, twin share accommodation, touring with qualified English speaking guides and have the security that only comes from knowing there is a highly experienced support team behind you every step of the way.

Children policy:

  1. A surcharge will be applied to parents with children under the age of 2 for the cost of an extra bed unless the child is going to share bed with parents. Fees vary & depend on accommodation providers policy.
  2. 1 child 2 to 6 years old accompanied by two adults pays 50% of the deal price directly to Laughing Roo Travel upon booking.
  3. Additional children aged 0 to 6 years old are welcome but are required to pay 75% of the deal price. Eg. Family with one child aged 2 & 1 child aged 5 need to pay 75% of the deal price for the 5 year old.
  4. Children aged 7 and above pay normal deal price.
  5. A domestic airline surcharge will apply to all children under the age of 7 for package tours with flights.

PLEASE NOTE

1)  Twin share hotel accommodation in Ha Noi for the night prior to your tour & the night following your Ha Long Bay cruise are included.

2)  All persons traveling alone will be required to purchase the single supplement as all accommodation included in the tour is twin share.

3)  Accommodation and upgrades to private tours are available at additional cost on request.

Day 1: Arrival – Ha Noi

The driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Ha Noi City Tour (B/L)

0800h: Guide will meet you at your hotel & you will depart to visit:

Ho Chi Minh Complex: Completed in 1975 the complex contains Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, his former stilt house residence, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh museum.

Next stop is a visit to the Temple of Literature

1200h: A delicious set menu lunch will be provided for you in a local restaurant.

1300h: Your tour recommences with a visit to the Museum of Ethnology which is widely acknowledged as the best in Vietnam and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples.

Then it is on to the NgocSonTemple and HoanKiemLake

The Old Quarter, also known as the 36 streets, is a bustling area of narrow streets home to literally thousands of small businesses and street vendors, selling a wide variety of goods. Originally each of the 36 streets names’ were related to the products being sold there. Hence you can walk from Fish Street to Tin Street to Bamboo Street and you will enjoy exploring the area while riding in a traditional cyclo.

1700h: Arrive to your hotel.

Overnight in Hanoi

Day 3: Ha Noi – Mai Chau (B/L/D)

0730 – 0800h: Driver will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi and you will depart on your road journey to Mai Chau in an air conditioned vehicle with your English speaking guide.

1000h: Time to stop for a short break at Hao Binh to stretch your legs or to buy a drink.

1130h -1200h: There will be a brief stop for people to enjoy the scenery and take photos before continuing to descend down into the picturesque valley into Mai Chau.

1215h: Once you arrive in Mai Chau a traditional lunch will be served in the village.

1300h-1500h: Take a bicycle ride with local tour guide and to experience the way of life in the area first hand and up close while cycling peacefully through the surrounding villages.

1500h-1800h: Free time to continue exploring the area on bicycles or take a walk through the streets and shop for those special gifts to take home with you.

1800h: Visit Thai living museum for Traditional BBQ dinner cooked by local people.

1930h: Enjoy overnight in Bungalow accommodation.

Day 4: Mai Chau – Ha Noi (B/L)

0730 – 0800h: Rise early for breakfast and take a moment to enjoy the unique scenery of the surrounding area.

0830 – 1130h: Depart on a hike with your guide to discover the magnificent views and photo opportunities that can be found from mouth of the 1,000 StepCave. After a casual decent back down the steps, you will visit a local market before being taken to a local restaurant for lunch.

1215h – 1500h: Lunch and free time to relax before starting on your return journey to Hanoi

1830h – 1900h: Arrive to your hotel in Hanoi.

Overnight in Hanoi

Day 5: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

0500h: Arrive at Hanoi train station and transfer to the hotel where you can have a shower and enjoy breakfast.

0745h-0830h: Your transport will pick you up at your hotel and you will depart for Ha Long Bay. You will stop for a short break at the Humanity centre situated approximately half way to the bay and enjoy local specialties.

1200h: Arrive Ha Long Bay and transfer by tender to your luxury Junk where the captain will welcome you on board the boat. A delicious lunch will be served for you as the boat passes through many of the thousands of islands and islets within Ha Long Bay.

1530h: You will have the opportunity to explore what is commonly thought to be the biggest and most amazing cave in Ha Long Bay, the SurpriseCave.

1700h: Kayaking for an hour around the fishing village and observe the daily life of the local community there.

1930h: Enjoy a dinner of local or Western food and spend a romantic night on board the Junk.

Day 6: Ha Long Bay – Nam Cat – Bungalow (B/L/D)

0730h-08.00h: Enjoy your breakfast while complimentary tea and coffee is served and tranfer the boat will stop  to MonkeyIsland to observe the monkeys and weather permitting; you will have the opportunity to go swimming.

12.00: Arrive to NamCat  Island for Lunches and check into your hotel and enjoy some free time before dinner

19.00: Dinner will be provided in the hotel and after you will have more free time to explore Cat Ba town in the evening.

Overnight in Bungalow in Nam Cat Island.

Day 7: Nam Cat Island – Ha Noi (B/L)

07.30h: Your new day will starts with joining the Taichi class or simply enjoying the scenery. Breakfast is at the hotel before you board the shuttle bus to Cai Beo harbour where you will meet the day boat and cruise back to the Junk.

On the way ,we will fass Ba Hang Fishing Village to experience the lifestyle of local people. After returning to the boat, it will be time to join the cooking class in the on board restaurant and enjoy what you have cooked for lunch.

1200h: Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi.

1600h: Arrive in Hanoi

Day 8: Ha Noi – Departure(B)

Enjoy some free time and some last minute shopping before checking out of your hotel ready for departure.
